This week one of our two cars broke again. It looks like we are going to have to swap the engine. In the meantime, I’m going to find a different way to get to my crossffit classes, but there were some good things that happened this week too:
1. I received my awesome rain jacket in the mail, very needed when you live in the Pacific Northwest. It’s so great for its price, I highly recommend it.
2. Started reading a really informative and interesting book about the brain and how it affects our health, and how diet, stress, and environmental toxins affect our brain. It teaches you how to spot brain degeneration and stop it before it’s too late and it teaches you simple diet and lifestyle changes to save and improve brain function/health and the quality of your life. By the way, this is not sponsored, I am truly fascinated with this book and would recommend it to anyone.
3. We had a wonderful sunny, colorful autumn day in Portland on Saturday. We had brunch, toured inside a real submarine, chilled out at a park, had happy hour and saw Interstellar in IMAX.
4. Salted caramel chocolate tartlet, with Oregon hazelnuts, and poached port pears. ‘Nuf said.

Share your happiness!
I find that the small things that make us happy every day are easily forgotten.
This blog event is simply about remembering and sharing those small things that made you happy during the week; things that made you smile, made you laugh, made you do a happy dance, made your heart smile…
You can share in any format you like. For people to find your post, tag your post “Weekly Small Pleasures” and link to my most recent post for a pingback! You can also just share in the comments.
