
This week, I got my Oregon state 8 year driving license! It was exciting because I passed the test with a 100% (alright, I had to take it twice, but still, they don’t give you the exact same questions every time), and they gave me 8 years which I wasn’t expecting because my green card right now expires in August, and in Durham, NC where I last obtained a driving license, if you are a U.S. resident, they give you a license with the same expiration date as your green card.
In other news, last night I made a special dinner for four for the first time. I had never cooked for more than two people except for potluck dishes like a big bowl of guacamole. Josh and I wanted to make a nice dinner for our hosts, who are now our friends and roommates. The menu was: chicken parmesan, roasted broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes, garlic bread, and salad. It was a success.
