I don’t notice much. I’m a pretty distracted person. I wouldn’t describe myself as observant. But I surely enjoy details when I pay attention, especially when it comes to art. But we can find detail in nature, architecture, engineering and even human organs. Below I’ve gathered a few detailed things from across my travels. Enjoy!
A lot of details in this Mexican restaurant in Portland, Oregon.
You can really see the details in this legume plant in India.
I love the details in these sister plants in India.
A lot of detail goes into making dollhouses and the items inside it.
The Wright brothers had to think about many details to build their airplanes. (Museum of Flight, Seattle)
Crazy lots of details in this Buddhist altar. (I understand that sentence is weird).
Architectural detail on a cathedral in Mexico City.
I love Russian architecture. It’s so detailed and colorful and amazing. (The top photo is also in Russia).
And talk about amazing detail with this mehndi henna work in India.
I love this painted wall in Durham, North Carolina.
Check out the weird details in this restroom in Vienna, Austria.
Nice detail in the clouds during this sunset in Tigard, Oregon.
Can’t even begin to imagine how to go about painting this on the ceiling at the Vatican, Italy.
Details at the Sunshine Mill Winery in The Dalles, Oregon, and check out the photo below from the same place.
A young Indian woman prepares for the Ganesh Festival by getting to work. Check out the result below!
Incredible detail inside the J58 Blackbird engine
Flowers and plants are always fascinating with their uniqueness and detail. What are these?
Beautiful flowers at Pike Place Market, Seattle.
And this bee drinking its wine. (Portland, OR)
And this carnivorous plant in a greenhouse. (Durham, NC)
I love the detail in this plant. (India)
And then there are these decorative celebratory things created out of flowers in Mexico.
Have you tried zentangle? It’s an art that anyone can do with very detailed patterns.
Clothing in India is beautifully detailed.
Check out all the details inside the USS Blueback submarine.
Lots of details in these fun Christmas ornaments.
Ah yes.. detail in food is amazing too. Like in these immaculate desserts at the Empress hotel in Victoria BC.
And in these sweets in India. That silver paper on them is edible.
Complex details in a human brain. That’s right. Have you ever held or seen a human brain? I would’ve held it if I wasn’t too busy taking photos.
I love the colorful detail in the tiles of this wall at the Meher Pilgrim Retreat in India.
Couldn’t think of anything better to describe detail than a kaleidoscope like this one.
I love being able to see the detailed ripples in the water. (Logan Canyon, Utah.)
Which one was your favourite?

Truly, a wealth of detail. I can’t say that I have one favorite, but the Indian clothing is really subtle. And the modern toilet gets full marks for creativity. 🙂

Thanks Tom! The modern toilet is inside the Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna, which if you google, you’ll see even more intense creativity.

I definitely recommend that museum if you ever get a chance to go, one of the coolest I’ve ever been to. Although, I may say the same thing about several museums.
I love museums of all kinds (art, science, aviation, space, music, natural history, etc).
