Weekly Small Pleasures #129

Weekly Small Pleasures #129

This week was pretty good even though I got sick with some stomach bug on Friday including painful cramps for 24 hours. But this week I got the best sleep since baby girl was born and getting good sleep always makes my life better and I can be better for others too. Here are the best parts of my week:

1. It snowed!

In Austin Texas! What?! Not much and it melted the next day, but still! It was wonderful. I love the snow. I don’t remember a single snow flurry last winter (my first here).

2. Sleeping through the night

This was a great baby sleep week. She slept through the night most days. Like till 7 am. A couple times till 5:30am, but she goes to sleep around 8:30pm. So she slept for at least 8 hours straight each night.

I even woke up before everyone (baby and husband) on Saturday which is crazy. I went to bed at 10 pm and woke up at 7 am when they were both still sleeping.

3. Tea and cookies

I don’t often get to make myself some tea, but this week I made my favourite English breakfast tea and accompanied it with local gingerbread cookies. I dunked them and I didn’t know how good the combination was going to be. It was SO good.
