This is the most simple and one of the most delicious smoothies I have made. There is just something about the combination of yogurt and mango that goes so well together, in what in India they call a mango lassi. But this is not your typical mango lassi though, since I added some spinach.
I like sneaking in spinach and romaine lettuce in my smoothies because they have a very mild taste but a high nutritional value.
Nutritional Facts in 1 cup of raw spinach:
27 calories (Most of the calories in spinach come from protein.)
.9 grams of protein
30 milligrams of calcium
.81 grams of iron
.7 grams of fiber
24 milligrams of magnesium
167 milligrams of potassium
2813 IUs of Vitamin A
8.4 mg of Vitamin C
58 micrograms of folate
See? That’s a lot of nutrition.
Simply combine all the ingredients together, blend until smooth and serve with a straw. Try not to drink it all in a few seconds.
Mango Lassi With Sneaky Spinach Recipe

1/2 cup almond milk*
1/4 water
1 tsp Flax Seed Meal
1 cup spinach
1/2 tbsp of honey or choice of sweetener
1/2 tsp cardamom powder or rose water or pinch of saffron (optional)
Directions:
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. I use the Nutribullet.

Don’t be intimidated by the spinach. Let me know how it goes if you make this.
