The Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham, North Carolina became one of my favorite spots in Durham during my 3 years living there.
My hubby even proposed to me here! And there are several weddings happening throughout the year. It’s just a wonderful place to come and hang out with nature, enjoy the surroundings, people-watch, wildlife-watch, and it is enjoyable during any season.
The Duke Gardens consist of approximately 55 acres (22 ha) of landscaped and wooded areas at Duke University. There are 5 miles (8 km) of allées, walks, and pathways throughout the gardens to enjoy solo or with your partner.
Most of the photos are during the snowy days since my husband and I always enjoy exploring and playing with the snow instead of staying home.
Here are a few without snow since these gardens don’t have snow most of the time. They are in North Carolina after all.
