Here’s my honest review of all their trail mixes and bars.
PlayHard GiveBack was created with the intention of solving the identified problem that athletes aren’t able to fund their sport and develop a very self-oriented mindset.
“Our goal is to facilitate youth sports fundraising and elite athlete funding while helping athletes cultivate a sense of gratitude. PHGB provides an online marketplace for elite athletes and youth sports teams to post merchandise on their personal team page. Part of the proceeds of each item sold on their team page directly benefit each respective athletes’ funding needs (to keep them playing hard) and also furthers the endeavors of their chosen social cause (to give back). This system allows athlete to create a meaningful connection with a cause that they care about while simultaneously continuing to excel at the sport that they love. Help us nurture these meaningful relationships so that we can continue to develop athletes beyond sport.”

I got to try the Triple Threat package which includes: 3 bags of trail mix and 3 BGood bars.
The Trail Mix Bags
Look at all that yummy goodness!
Fuel and Flow
This was a great mix, pretty traditional up until you get the ginger pieces! They really make this bag exceptional, the combination of spicy and sweet of the ginger makes the bite delicious, nutritious and energetic. I also loved the addition of hemp seeds for an extra nut-less protein punch.
Ingredients: Raw Almonds, Honey Roasted Nuts (Peanuts, Pecans, Almonds), Salted Pumpkin Seeds, Hemp Seeds, Dried Fruit (Apples, Cranberries), Ginger AND Blueberry Antioxidant BGood Bites.
BGood Bites are small squares of the BGood Bars.
Rise and Shine
I loved this perfectly named trail mix. Even though I am not a coffee drinker, I really loved the chocolate covered espresso beans. I could’ve eaten those by the handful. I also loved the addition of cashews in this bag, as they are my favorite nut, and to top it off, dried mango, my favorite fruit. Though, I would’ve liked less cranberries and more of the other ingredients.
Ingredients: Raw Almonds, Dried Cranberries, Cashews, Dried Mango, Chocolate-covered Espresso Beans AND Espresso Datenut BGood Bites.
I liked the banana chips here a lot, as well as the peanut ginger BGood Bites. A simple yet good mix.
Ingredients: Raw Almonds, Dried Cranberries, Banana Chips, Peanut Butter Cups AND Peanut Ginger BGood Bites
The BGood Bars
These bars are gluten free, non-gmo, and use fair trade chocolate. They are filled with nutritional and tasty ingredients.
I was excited about this bar after reading the ingredient list but was a little disappointed when I tasted it. It tasted to me like it included a spice I dislike reminiscent of clove, wven though it is not an ingredient. Not sure what it was that tasted to me like that, but I didn’t care for it. This is a completely personal taste moment, I’m sure it would be delicious for a lot of people. The blueberries, the green tea matcha and the cocoa powder really add a great amount of nutritional benefits and antioxidants as the name suggests.
Ingredients: Toasted Cashews, Walnuts, Organic Chia Seeds, Organic Flax Seeds, Organic Flax Meal, Organic Almond Butter, Organic Dried Blueberries, Fair Trade Dark Chocolate, Organic Green Tea Matcha, Organic Cocoa Powder, and Organic Cinnamon.
Espresso Date Nut
Just like the Rise & Shine Trail Mix, I surprisingly loved this bar (not being a coffee drinker). The espresso really, really works here. I loved the caffeine punch and the flavor of the combination of these ingredients. This was my favorite bar seconded by the Peanut Ginger one below.
Ingredients: Toasted Almonds, Cashews, Oats, Sunflower Seeds, Organic Coconut, Organic Almond Butter, Local Honey, Dates, Mango, Fair Trade Dark Chocolate, Organic Flax Seed Meal and Espresso.
This was the very first item I tried, even before I took any pictures. As you can see the bar is missing from the packaging. It was a great start I must say, because I loved this chewy peanuty, gingery bar. I’m a fan of sesame seeds and loved them in this presentation too.
Ingredients: Toasted Peanuts, Cashews, Oats, Peanut Butter, Local Honey, Organic Flax Seed Meal, Crystallized Ginger, Fair Trade Dark Chocolate, Sesame Seeds, Sea Salt.
Not only did I love the PlayHard GiveBack products, my cat did too! The box they came in has become her favorite thing ever.
As a final note to the reviews, I have to mention that I loved the packaging of the trail mixes. I’m not sure what material they used, it doesn’t feel like plastic. And they opened really easily and ziplock-sealed as easily. There was zero struggle to open or close these. A bonus for sure!
If you would like to learn more about these products and this company head over to the PlayHard GiveBack website or check them out on Facebook.

Loved your review and I love this company (PHGB)! The spice you might be detecting (that you thought was clove) in the Blueberry Antioxidant Bar is Organic Cinnamon, another ingredient that is high in antioxidants. I’m so glad you enjoyed the trail mix & bars!
Hi Judy! Glad you liked it. I do like cinnamon which is why I was kind of confused about it. Who knows! hehe. They’re great!
