  2. I have travelled solo off and on for over 20 years now. My work takes me to interesting places. Initially it started as exploring places I traveled to for work (the earliest places I visited were Singapore, Orlando and Mauritius, so…..). Later, I started traveling alone on some vacations because it gave me freedom to explore what I wanted.

Yes, it is very liberating and I have found that I discover more about the people and places because I have to interact more with the locals. 🙂

  3. I must be a trend setter as I did lots of solo travel before I got married. I went around the world on my own (Hong Kong, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand) and had an absolute ball. I would recommend it to anyone, it was a life-changing experience and I met plenty of amazing people. After that I also travelled solo in Thailand, Cambodia, Jordan, Egypt and Isreal. I have also done lots of solo travel for work. Nowadays the thought of a solo trip sounds like heaven! However, I also LOVE travelling with my kids and showing them the world…
