We’ve Done It Again… Packed up all our things and moved into a new adventure

You may or may not have noticed that I’ve skipped the Weekly Small Pleasures Sunday post for two weeks. I apologize for those who participate, I will make one next week and feature the links of those who have been participating in spite my absence.  I been busy!

Life, or really God, threw us a big change to our lives once again. About 10 days ago we found out some news that were hazardous to our health and required us to move. After research, talking, taking many things into consideration, praying and following our intuition, we ended up settling on a new state to live in. It all happened very quick.

I went through my usual 2 days of emotional freak out from getting out of my comfort zone and moving again, but after talking to God and digging deep I found in my intuition and my heart that our decision was the right thing to do. I moved on from doubts and fears to certainty and productivity.

About 12 days ago we had zero plans to move and we were living our daily routines in Oregon.  Today I am writing this from an airbnb in Utah, and we left nothing behind. At least not any possessions. We packed everything into our van and a trailer rental and drove 800 miles with our cat, Vincent.

We have already done this a few times in the last 7 or so years, so this time it didn’t come as a surprise to friends and family and we were able to move fast. I think it was just about 2 weeks ago that I was talking about this. About the fact that we had been in one place for almost 2.5 years and we I felt like God was overdue for making us move again. Sure enough it happened!

What’s next is we find our new place, our new mission, we get the ball rolling and let God guide us. We look and do but we go with the flow. We try not to get our minds too much in the way and we keep our options open…

  3. I absolutely admire how you have embraced this change so quickly. I’m thinking that your desire to have no desires and attachments is something that you are already amazing at. Wishing you all of the best in your new place! What amazing adventures lie ahead!

    1. Aww thanks Liz. To be honest, things are just easier when you are detached, but as long as I’m human I don’t think I’ll ever have zero attachments 🙂
