I’ve covered red and white flowers, today we’re combining yellow and orange in one post. These colour flowers are so pretty! I think they’re my favourite so far, especially the orange ones.
In Europe and America, orange is commonly associated with amusement, the unconventional, extroverts, fire, activity, danger, taste and aroma, the autumn season, and Protestantism. In Asia, it is an important symbolic colour of Buddhism and Hinduism.
Yellow is commonly associated with gold, wealth, sunshine, reason, happiness, optimism and pleasure, but also with envy, jealousy and betrayal. It plays an important role in Asian culture, particularly in China.
See some of my captures of yellow and orange flowers around the world:
Surrounded by many other colours, the orange roses in the middle stand out beautifully. Mexico City.
A yellow flower and a few yellow leaves are contrasted by the brown ground in India.
One perfect yellow rose at the Rose Test Park in Portland, Oregon.
Pretty yellow flowers and bees in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Beautiful yellow sunflowers at the farmer’s market in Durham, North Carolina.
Pretty two-color tulips to the right. Victoria, BC.
A bright orange lonely flower accompanied by bright green plants in Meherazad, India.
Giant orange tulips in the street in Victoria, BC.
Gorgeous yellow tulips in Woodburn, Oregon.
Yellow flowers overlooking a great view near the Astoria Column, Oregon.
Do you see the tiny orange flowers on the big bush? At the MPR, in Meherabad, India.
Again, orange flowers stand out in the middle at the Abkhazi Garden in Victoria, BC.
Orange marigolds adorn this horse carriage in Mumbai, India.
Okay, so this one is not a flower but I wanted to include it because it’s just so orange and amazing. An awesome autumn tree in Durham, North Carolina.
Which photo was your favourite? Do you prefer yellow or orange?
