Mango is my favourite fruit. It may be from growing up in Mexico City where mangoes are abundant and I regularly enjoyed Manila mango to accompany my breakfast or even dinner. Or it may be from my multiple travels to India where you can find the most exquisite Alphonso mangoes and enjoy them fresh, in ice cream form or in a lassi (yogurt drink). Or it simply may be because mangoes are bright, delightful and plain delicious. If you like mangoes too, a mango smoothie will brighten your day.
I have made my fair share of smoothies with mango in them and have a few recipes to share with you. I especially love the mango lassi variations, which include greek yogurt. They’re so refreshing and I do love the tang it adds. Tangyness and sweetness in combination are a great pair.
So if you’re in the mood for a mango smoothie, or even a mango smoothie bowl, here are 6 delicious mango smoothie recipes to try:
Packed full of bright vitamins, plus a lovely hint of ginger.
I love adding refreshing cucumber to smoothies. It works really well in combination with mango, cashews and cold tea in this recipe.
This smoothie is packed with healthy goodies like flaxseed, almonds, oats, and sneaky romaine lettuce. I call it sneaky because you can’t taste it.
I love mango lassi and one day I had the crazy idea of sneaking in some spinach in it, just for the sake of added healthiness and it worked! Mainly because you can’t taste it. If green smoothies scare you, this might be a good one to try.
Now, if you want to be crazy on the other side of the wagon, adding some homemade ice cream to your smoothie would be an absolute treat.
Love or hate summer? Either way, go ahead and make this pretty (and healthy) smoothie featuring mango, raspberries, and coconut water to help you hydrate on warm sunny days and bring a smile to your face!
The lassi makes a second appearance here in a different form. By using less liquid you can have it in a bowl and top with delicious ingredients like fresh strawberries, flaked coconut, and nuts.
Do you love mango as much as I do?
