This week has been a pre-move week, which is always an emotional rollercoaster to stress town. But I tried managing stress and anxiety with some nature runs, some coffee runs, and some good music and TV. Here are some of the good moments of my week:
1. Trail run achievement and post-run ice cream. Twice. Since I haven’t been able to go to the gym this month, I had to do some exercise and decided to go on a trail run. I’m not a runner. The most I’ve ran in months is a mile. I ended up running 3 miles on a rocky and hilly trail and felt great. I did that two days this week and followed each run with local ice cream cause that’s how I live. F-it mode. Ok, sometimes.
2. More great music. This week I became a new fan of the band: Get Set Go.

3. Coffee and cookies + caffeine high + good mood. I’m beginning to think I should drink coffee more often. This week I had TWO iced coffees in a row (which were kinda large too), that is more than twice as much caffeine I’m used to (considering I normally drink black tea), and it put me in a great mood. It made me feel excited for things to come which was probably just my heart beating faster and my mind got confused, in a good way, by how my body was physically reacting to the uptake of caffeine. A good mood is rare for me, neutral mood is the norm, so when I’m actually in a good or excited mood, is very much welcome. I did feel jittery at some point and didn’t sleep awesome but I think it was worth it.
4. Awesome Netflix find. One morning this week I woke up feeling like I just didn’t want to leave bed and decided to not leave bed and instead watch something on Netflix on my laptop to lift up my mood. I came across a 2008 British TV show called The Inbetweeners. Watched two episodes and it was exactly what I needed. Made me laugh a lot, I love British humour. And they play tons of music I like, major bonus.
