This strawberry celery smoothie is refreshing and healthy. Strawberries make everything better, and celery really is complemented with these flavors. I also added some romaine lettuce for additional healthiness which you can’t even taste.
The almond flour and greek yogurt add protein and thickness to your drink and the ground flaxseed is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids which are very welcome by your body. Omega-3s are great for cardiovascular health, keeping heart disease, blood pressure, cholesterol in check.
I like using Bob’s Red Mill almond meal and flaxseed meal.
Simply blend everything together and sip for a perfect post-workout snack or for breakfast.
It’s a simple as blending everything together and sipping happily. I use the Nutribullet, which is the best thing in my opinion for smoothies as it’s powerful enough to blend chunks of food including raw vegetables, in less than 20 seconds.

Ingredients
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup packed romaine lettuce
1 stalk of celery without the tip
5 frozen strawberries
1 tsp of ground flaxseed
1 tsp of almond meal
3/4 vanilla rice milk*
1 tbsp honey greek yogurt
Water as needed
Directions
Blend everything together until smooth and enjoy with a straw!
*Notes: you may substitute the rice milk with your choice of milk.
Interesting combination – will have to give this a try sometime.
